Week #13, 2025
Week #13 of 2025 has arrived... And we have safely passed the Ides of March... Just incase any of you Caesars were worried. Et tu, Brute! Time to walk over to your 4K Weeks poster and fill in another square. Done? This week is all about my back. It was bothering me this week... Who knows why... but that meant that a few times this week, instead of barreling through my agenda like an unbridled force of nature, I needed to lay on the ground for a few minutes. Each time, our wonderful 100 lb, loveable mutt Walter came over, laid nearly on top of me, and rested his head on my chest. When he does that, I often wonder...

Week #52, 2024
You often don't have a choice about the first arrow. You ALWAYS have a choice about the second.

Week 2, 2024
Your "self" isn't immutable. You aren't "a certain type of person". You are an evolving experiment. One that is certainly affected by the observer, and one whose outcome is affected by the inputs. If you want to carry something different in your heart, you can do that. You just have to want it bad enough that you can let go of the person you have been.

Week 50, 2023
Spend time with your family and friends. The to-do list will still be there when you return.

Week 45, 2023
Having a failure is fine, maybe even essential. I think we are all who we are because of how we handled adversity more than how we handle success. You don't have to own anything outside of your control. All you can control is how you take the next step through the world.

Week 42, 2023
It's ok to just acknowledge that something sucks...And when a friend is in a tight spot, you don't have to always provide a solution...I always want to find solutions. But... not every problem can be solved...Nothing has a "happy ending" at the very end, and all day, every day, the universe is being desperately unfair to someone or another.

Week 33, 2023
One person reacts to a devastating event by using it as the fire for their boiler, and another reacts to a small slight by being totally devastated. I suppose neither is wrong, each just is... and there's wisdom in Marx's quote: "From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs."
