Week #49 of 2022... the month of reflection and giving

Week #49 of 2022... the month of reflection and giving

A new week has graced us with it's presence, and a new year isn't far behind. Time to stand up, walk over to your 4KWeeks poster, and fill in the next square.

Done?

As the holiday season kicks up, remember that the best way to be happy is to focus on helping other people.  If you find yourself feeling morose or melancholy... compliment a friend, give a kid 5 bucks, give someone something.  Who care's if it isn't altruism... it's good stuff.  Focusing on others is a sure cure for unhappiness.

Ok, here are a few morsels from us to you.

This Week's Quote

"The aim of life is self-development. To realize one's nature perfectly, that is what each of us is here for." - Oscar Wilde

What I am Thinking About This Week

Who had to muster more courage?  The man who performed the first heart transplant, or the man who laid on the table?

One had to lean into resistance, one had to lean into acceptance.

Two different kinds of courage, but both have their time and place.  The Patient wants the Doc to fight, the Doc wants the Patient to relax.

Choose Wisely.

Also... Last week I mentioned my daily journal habit and when it started... that got me curious about the actual start date. I looked back (I saved all the print journals before I switched to a ReMarkable Tablet.)

12/30/2014... Almost 8 years, or about 8000+ things I am thankful for... Thoughts have energy.
