Week #48 of 2022...and November is nearly gone.

One week has gone. Disappeared like Thanksgiving leftovers from the fridge.

Time to stand up, walk over to your 4K Weeks poster, and fill in the next square.

Done?

Here are a few tasty morsels from us to you.

The New Year is coming, but it doesn't matter unless you want it to.  Start now.  If there is a change you want to make: make a plan, set some daily or weekly milestones that are hard but reachable, and get to it.  (and if you get knocked off the horse, get back on it! That is the critical bit...I'll steal a format from Michael Pollan... Simple rules for improvement.  "Keep moving, mostly forward, that's enough."

 Remarkable Weeks

  1. Week #48 in the year 1936  , Anna Mary Robertson Moses (Grandma Moses) She would go on to become one of the United States most famous painters, painted her first painting. It's never too late! She was 3977.29 weeks old. (76.27 yrs)
  2. Week #48 in the year 2012, Phoebe Waller-Bridge wrote and starred in her one-woman show, Fleabag She was 1428.00 weeks old. (27.38 yrs)

 This Week's Quote:

"The past has no power to stop you from being present now. Only your grievance about the past can do that" - Eckhart Tolle

 This Week's Joke

Want to hear a joke about paper?    Nevermind, its tearable!

 This Week's Thought

Eight years ago (I think... maybe 7, 9?)  I heard about a new journal on the Tim Ferriss podcast.  The Five Minute Journal, a very simple journal with prompts to get you to write a bit each day.  I bought five copies, one for each of my Mastermind group, and for accountability's sake, we all started texting a picture of our daily journal to each other. Our specific journals have changed, but we still do it every day.

The first section of the Five Minute Journal is a list of 3 things you are grateful for.

What that means is that for the last 8 years, nearly every day, I have listed 3 things that I am thankful for.  Sometimes it's "coffee, coffee, coffee" and sometimes it's "every extra minute I get to spend with my aging dad". Yesterday it was: "1:Rain, 2:Focus, 3:Rain"

Writing 3 things I am thankful for is the habit that has had the most positive impact on my life in the last decade. It is the keystone habit of keystone habits.

Thanks for being a part of the journey with us! Please let me know if you liked/disliked the content this week.

Talk to you next week.
