Week #44 of 2022, ahhhh, the week of Halloween candy!

One week has skated by. Time to stand up, walk over to your 4KWeeks poster, and fill in the next square.

Done?

Ok, here are a few morsels from us to you.

What matters?  That's up to you.  Fortunately or unfortunately, we decide with our actions and not with words. So... get to work.

 Remarkable Weeks

  1. Week #44 in the year 1976, Jimmy Carter was elected the 39th President of the United States. He was 2717.86 weeks old. (52 yrs)
  2. Week #44 in the year 1984, Carol Moseley Braun became the first African American woman elected to the US Senate. She was 2359.43  weeks old. (45.24 yrs)
  3. Week #44 in the year 1938, Orson Welles broadcasted the radio adaptation of War of the Worlds, sparking panic and causing some listeners to believe and alien invasion was occurring.  The controversy shot Welles to fame. He was 1225.43 weeks old. (23.5 yrs)

 This Week's Quote:

"It is not enough to have a good mind; the main thing is to use it well." - Rene Descartes

 This Week's Joke

What has four wheels and Flies?    A garbage truck!

 This Week's Thought

Everything is so personal.  Meaning... there is very little that applies equally to all.  To one, a bee sting is a terribly painful, potentially mortal injury. To another, a minor inconvenience.  Which one is wrong?  Neither.

This matters when we are pushing ourselves to improve.  The struggle you endure is for you.  My struggle is for me.

We can encourage someone, shouting "You can do it" along the race route, but we can't judge how well or poorly they are running the race. That is for them.

I would encourage you to push yourself.  Hard. As hard as you can bear in this moment.

Maybe "hard" is to lift 1000 pounds, maybe"hard" is to get out of bed. They are the same.

How hard is hard? That is up to you, not to me.

"You can DO it!"

Thanks for being a part of the journey with us! Please let me know if you liked/disliked the content this week.

Talk to you next week.
